Sustainability
Progress should leave more behind than technology.
Our commitment.
For years, Mitra has treated sustainability as part of how we grow: reducing our environmental impact, investing in the wellbeing of our people, and helping hundreds of young people access university. Because a smarter future should create opportunity as well as innovation.

Building what comes next responsibly.
Mitra works at the heart of the systems that businesses and communities depend on. That gives us a responsibility to think beyond the technology we deliver and consider the wider impact of how we operate.
Our approach brings environmental and social progress together. We measure our footprint, invest in practical reductions, support the people who build our company, and help more young people reach higher education.
These are not separate initiatives. They are part of one long-term commitment to create value that lasts. We align our environmental, social and governance approach with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and measure emissions using the Greenhouse Gas Protocol. We report our progress openly because good intentions matter most when they can be measured.

Students supported
Students helped to access university through Mitra’s long-standing commitment to higher education, expanding opportunities for young people and communities.
Following our standout 2024 performance, 2025 was a more normalised year. We take a multi-year view to show our sustained ESG impact over time.
Sustainable Actions
Measure. Reduce. Improve.
We measure our footprint so every decision is grounded in evidence. Our latest assessment recorded 115.0 tonnes CO₂e, while operational efficiencies and renewable energy helped reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 10% year on year. We are now expanding Scope 3 measurement across the wider business.
Opening doors to opportunity.
For several years, Mitra has helped hundreds of young people access university. Each place represents more than an education: it opens new possibilities for students, their families and their communities. It is how we turn a belief in shared knowledge into lasting social impact.
People at the heart of progress.
A sustainable business begins with its people. Our 80% workforce wellbeing score reflects continued investment in mental health support, flexibility, inclusion and professional growth. We keep listening and improving, so our people can do their best work and build meaningful careers as Mitra grows.
Growth with purpose.
More than £450,000 of ESG impact was directed towards environmental and social initiatives in our latest reporting period. Guided by the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, we are making sustainability part of where we invest, how we operate and what we improve next.
“We have always believed that innovation should create lasting value, not only for our clients, but for our people, our communities and the world we share.
Our progress in reducing emissions, supporting wellbeing and helping young people reach university shows what that belief looks like in practice. We are proud of what has been achieved, and even more focused on what comes next.”

The work is measurable and never finished.
Our sustainability journey is still developing. The next chapter is about broadening our measurement, deepening our impact and continuing to make responsible choices as the company grows.
• Reduce our operational footprint and continue the transition towards renewable energy.
• Expand Scope 3 measurement across more of our global activity.
• Keep investing in wellbeing, inclusion and professional opportunity for our people.
• Help more young people access higher education and the opportunities it can unlock.
• Report our progress transparently and hold ourselves accountable to measurable outcomes.
We know that no single organisation can build a sustainable future alone. But every organisation can decide what it will contribute. At Mitra, our contribution is to keep turning technology, investment and expertise into progress that more people can share.
