Mitra Partner with Brunswick Digital to Enhance Diaverum’s Customer Experience

DIAVERUM

Diaverum is a leading global provider of renal care services, with a portfolio ranging from preventive care to dialysis and transplantation. Founded in 1991 and headquartered in Malmö, Sweden, Diaverum has 469 clinics in 24 countries, treating 40,000 patients globally.  A highly standardised proprietary care delivery model, supported by a continuously evolving digital infrastructure, means Diaverum provides life-enhancing renal care to patients, enabling them to live fulfilling lives.

THE CHALLENGE

Diaverum had two objectives; to refresh their brand and at the same time, update and enrich their websites. Diaverum approached Brunswick Digital to redesign their brand, who in turn, partnered with Mitra to undertake the digital transformation required to launch the corporate website, followed by the patient-focussed regional websites.

Mitra initiated the 4-week discovery phase of the project. A team of 10 developed a comprehensive roadmap of how to achieve the corporate website refresh, followed by the bespoke refresh and launch of multiple regional websites worldwide. A major requirement was to build a modular content management system (CMS), using pre-designed templates, so Diaverum can independently manage the content of their own websites.

Mitra's collaborative and integrated approach made them the ideal technical partner on this complex international project. They became a seamless and successful part of the agency client team.

Dimitris MoulavasilisCEO at Diaverum

The overarching goal for our website was to ensure our true care culture and our patient-centred approach were reflected in all its facets. I am very proud of this amazing teamwork and all of our refreshed country sites that are easy to navigate, even for our elderly patients.

THE SOLUTION

In Phase 1 of the project, Mitra used EPIServer to build the new corporate website. Mitra worked closely with UI/UX (User Interface/User Experience) designers at Brunswick Digital to deliver a fully responsive website reflective of the patient-focussed ethos at Diaverum. This website serves as an important information portal, providing a window to the company’s corporate governance, mission statement and values, vital in a time of COVID-19 when face-to-face contact with stakeholders is severely limited. Phase 2 saw the delivery of 4 of the patient-facing websites – China, Saudi Arabia, Sweden, and the UK – go live in their local language and English. Ongoing phases launched a further 11 multilingual patient websites in Diaverum’s key markets.

The most important component is the new clinic finder which uses Google Maps, giving patients fast and accurate access to vital care services, as well as the ability to contact clinics and request appointments. Mitra supported Diaverum with a Managed Services package, ensuring the websites were maintained and running smoothly following the launch of the corporate website.

Self Sufficiency

Mitra designed and built a modular design system CMS, providing Diaverum with multiple templates so they can manage their own content on their corporate and patient-facing websites.

Patient Focus

Diaverum’s patient focus informed the design of the clinic finder and booking request form, an essential tool using Google Maps to provide a seamless and intuitive customer experience.

Collaborative Approach

Mitra worked closely with Brunswick Digital and Diaverum on all phases of this project. Brunswick Digital designed the look and feel of the websites, while Mitra’s experienced project team built and deployed them.

THE RESULT

The corporate website went live in July 2020 and provides a platform for Diaverum’s patient-centric message, providing stakeholders with clear information on their purpose. Fifteen patient-facing websites are now live, providing patients with a vastly improved clinic finder and appointment request service. Importantly, Diaverum has put the care of their patients at the heart of their corporate message and the forefront of their digital transformation journey.
