About Guardian MPS

Guardian MPS Inc, based in West Chester, PA, is a spin-out of Guardian24, the UK market leader for work alone safety and visiting worker safety solutions. With a user-base of over 33,000 subscribers in the European market, the company specialises in creating and maintaining communications between co-workers and supervisors working in the field. Using a mobile application with an instant panic button, the company enables rapid responses to dangerous situations.

Opportunity

As GuardianMPS were successfully, and rapidly expanding their business, their on-site systems and data centre began to struggle with performance and reliability. With little or no redundancy in the existing systems, they could not easily, and cost effectively be scaled to meet increased demand, nor could additional functionality be easily added and integrated. Furthermore, the costs of IT support and business continuity were spiralling upwards. GuardianMPS chose Mitra AI as their technology consulting partner, to take on the challenge of designing a more scalable, flexible, integrated, secure and cost-effective solution. As a Consulting Partner for AWS, Mitra AI had the experience and the know how to design an innovative cloud-based solution.

Solution

Mitra AI recommended Amazon Web Services (AWS) to provide GuardianMPS with a secure, scalable, and future-ready cloud infrastructure. Following a detailed business and technical assessment, key legacy components were identified for migration, with Amazon EC2 selected to deliver on-demand, flexible compute capacity through an intuitive management interface. The move to AWS enabled GuardianMPS to replace capital-intensive infrastructure with a cost-efficient, consumption-based model, reducing deployment time, operational overhead, and IT maintenance. Leveraging AWS’s proven global infrastructure also improved reliability and security, allowing GuardianMPS to scale efficiently while focusing internal resources on strategic growth initiatives.

Cloud-Based Virtual Servers: GuardianMPS’s core business platform is hosted on AWS cloud-based virtual servers that scale dynamically to match demand. This on-demand compute model delivers consistent performance while eliminating upfront capital costs through pay-as-you-go pricing.

Scalable, Secure Data Storage: To support rapid growth and increasing volumes of media files, AWS Simple Storage Service (S3) was implemented, providing highly secure, resilient, and infinitely scalable storage while simplifying data management and backup.

End-to-End Integration & Cloud Enablement: As an AWS Consulting Partner, Mitra AI designed, migrated, integrated, and now manages GuardianMPS’s cloud workloads and applications, ensuring the optimal use of AWS services to deliver flexibility, reliability, and long-term scalability.
