JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Understand business context by communicating with the clients, referring to materials provided, researching etc.
  • Analyze the requirement and design solutions for the functional and business aspects of the requirement
  • Formulate solutions and business roadmaps based on gathered information
  • Requirement documentation and management using multiple tools
  • Basic research activities on the market to gain business advantages
  • Presenting and explaining the solution to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Support the development team in requirement clarification
  • Collaborates with the team on routine issue resolution in planning and monitoring.
  • Ensure that the developed features meet the business objectives
  • Active participation in scrum ceremonies.
  • Accountability and Execution of the above activities within the Mitra Software Delivery Framework
  • Conduct discovery and other requirement related workshops
  • Assist in practice and organization level initiatives
  • Assist in sales opportunities based on the capacity of the job role
  • Mentor other team members

 

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Skills & Experience:

  • Able to demystify complex business scenarios and requirements to a level that can be understood by stakeholders
  • Sound level of analytical, writing and communication skills
  • Experienced in collaborating with remote and global teams
  • Ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders on requirements related matters
  • Sound understanding of planning, governing and monitoring of Business Analysis activities
  • Experienced in deriving, analyzing and evaluating business solutions
  • Good understanding on requirement engineering
  • Ability to identify and support the mitigation of requirement related risks
  • Sound understanding of concepts analysis approach, stakeholder management and requirement management within an agile environment.
  • Sound understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies
  • Sound understanding of requirement documentation and management
  • Drive for achieving results
  • Quick learner

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of Business Management or Information Technology
  • Masters in an area such as Management, Technology, etc. preferred
  • Ten or more years of experience in executing Business Analyst activities

General Responsibilities

Flexibility: The post holder may be required to work at any of the Mitra sites in line with service & operational needs. The post holder may be required to undertake such other duties temporarily, or on a continuing basis as may be required commensurate with this role. This may include periods of time working on client premises and / or internationally.

Confidentiality, Data Protection, Freedom of Information and Computer Misuse: All staff must ensure confidentiality and security of information dealt with in the course of performing their duties. They must comply with and keep up to date with Mitra policies and legislation on confidentiality, data protection, freedom of information and computer misuse. to any unauthorized persons. This duty extends after employment ceases.
