Finance Executive

JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitoring and processing payments accurately and timely for all Creditors based on the company terms and guidelines.
  • Verification and maintaining records for Supplier Invoices along with follow up and communication on a timely basis.
  • Ability to raise Customer Invoices based on Contracts and follow up on collection.
  • Reviewing the daily transactions recorded, including Bank reconciliations, and ensuring the accuracy of the General Ledger for preparation of monthly accounts
  • Maintaining associated supporting schedules and workings for preparation of monthly Management Accounts.
  • Preparing the GST/VAT/WHT and other Tax statements and ensure timely filing and payment of the dues.
  • Timely reconciliation of the cash floats given to other departments.
  • Reviewing the petty cash transactions and timely reimbursement.
  • Coordinating with the Travel Department for foreign travels and keeping records accurately.
  • Assisting with Preparation of Reports for Business Units.
  • Coordinating with Banks with regards to operations.
  • Assisting with External Audit.
  • Circulation of Reports required by Management on a timely basis.
  • Carrying out any other tasks assigned by the Management.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

  • Part qualification from a recognized financial body (CASL/ACCA)/Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or Accounting.
  • Should be a good team player and with excellent Communication skills.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar capacity in an IT, Manufacturing or Retail Industry.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Big 4 Audit Firm, will be an advantage.
  • Experience with Xero or any other reputable accounting software.
  • Computer literacy with an excellent command of the MS Office package.
  • Should be proactive, accountable, and able to work independently with minimum supervision.

General Responsibilities

Flexibility: The post holder may be required to work at any of the Mitra sites in line with service & operational needs. The post holder may be required to undertake such other duties temporarily, or on a continuing basis as may be required commensurate with this role. This may include periods of time working on client premises and / or internationally.

to any unauthorized persons. This duty extends after employment ceases.
