Automation Test Lead
Job Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ability to understand requirements and technical reference documents and be able to review and escalate any issues/gaps during the initial stage of the project.
- Responsible for automating different types of applications, such as desktop, web, mobile & API based on an identified scope.
- Responsible for designing and setting up the automation framework and environments required for successful completion of Automation.
- Ability to do automation test scripting and test execution.
- Responsible for fixing any issues on automation scripts.
- Ability to understand, troubleshoot and differentiate defects, data issues and requirement gaps.
- Responsible for on-time delivery and timely escalations/update of risks, issues, status and exemptions to leadership.
- Effective communication with the team, leadership, internal and external customers covering all aspects of team needs.
- Awareness of different software development and QA methodologies.
- Stay up to date with the latest automation tools, technologies and trends.
- Ability to mentor and lead team members.
- Responsible for test automation estimates and calculating ROI.
- Responsible for continuously improving test automation frameworks.
- Responsible for supporting pre-sales activities.
- Responsible for tracking and reporting related test automation metrics.
- Responsible for conducting internal training and recommending external training.
- Responsible for team members evaluations and competency building.
Requirement Competencies, Qualifications & Experience:
- B.Sc. in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent professional qualification.
- 5 – 7 years of relevant experience in Automation Mandatory.
- Strong Knowledge in Web and Mobile technologies.
- Strong Knowledge in Selenium, Java, Java Script, C#, Node JS or any other.
- Experience in BDD Cucumber Framework or any other.
- Experience in API Testing using Postman and API Automation.
- Experience in Mobile testing and mobile Automation.
- Competency around test management tools and defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Zephyr, Xray
- Strong Knowledge of DevOps/CI/CD processes
- Good analytical skills, troubleshooting and resolution skills
- Ability to self-learn and grasp the knowledge quickly and share with the team.
- Strong Knowledge of database structure languages, such SQL.
- Experience in the testing middle tier and service-oriented architectures.
- Experience with Cloud solutions automation
General Responsibilities
Flexibility: The post holder may be required to work at any of the Mitra sites in line with service & operational needs. The post holder may be required to undertake such other duties temporarily, or on a continuing basis as may be required commensurate with this role. This may include periods of time working on client premises and / or internationally.
