Mitra Innovation featured in over 10 newspapers in the last seven days

Last week was an exciting week for Mitra Innovation… Not only did the Sunday Times publish a tech innovation written by us about Agile software development, but we also went on to feature in nine other newspapers including the Sunday Times, the Sunday Observer, the Daily Mirror and the Financial Times.

Most of the newspapers wrote about Mitra Innovation’s success so far, and our plans. You can read the text from one of the articles here:

2017 all set to be a great year for Mitra Innovation

Mitra Innovation is a technology innovation company based in Sri Lanka, Australia and the UK. Born in 2012 it was set up by three co-founders – Ashok Suppiah (CEO), Derek Bell (COO) and Dammika Ganegama (MD), all visionaries with a passion for technology and innovation.

The company started from humble beginnings with a skeleton staff, one office and two clients. It has now grown to a global organisation with an employee headcount of 110 (the hundredth joined last week), and five offices – three in Sri Lanka, an HQ in London, and a new office which has just opened in Suffolk, England.

The company also has over 20 clients including (amongst others): Philips, Pizza Hut Australia, Kantar Worldpanel (a WPP company), Ramsay Healthcare, Capital Alliance, Delmege, Beyond Analysis and Eagle Boy. And a network of partners in place with companies such as WSO2, Chakray, and Cap Gemini.

Mitra Innovation helps smart entrepreneurs, enterprises and public service organisations to accelerate innovative ideas into amazing global businesses or solutions, through product incubation, digital transformation, and integration services.

It has ambitious plans for 2017 with regards to technology innovation, advanced R&D and launching proprietary Mitra Innovation integration and incubation products, such as APE2 and AI5. Mitra also plans to more than double its engineering team during the year.

Ashok Suppiah says: “We are very proud of how far Mitra Innovation has come both in the UK and Sri Lanka, and the impact our people and technology have had in helping companies and partners with accelerated innovative solutions. Besides, we are committed to build a long-lasting company with an innovative culture and nurture the next generation of tech evolution.”

Dammika Ganegama continues “We are excited about the future and the opportunities it holds. Our latest office marks the next stage in our development and our 100th member of staff marks a key milestone. We look forward to continuing our growth at an even faster rate with additional global clients, and continued hiring in the UK, Europe, Australia and Sri Lanka.”
